SMAC Participation in Solemn Academy on the occasion of Military Academy Day
On March 18, 2023, at the invitation of the Military Academy, SMAC Director Mr Bojan Glamočlija, attended the Solemn Academy on the occasion of the Military Academy Day, which was held in the "General Jovan Mišković" barracks.
Military Academy Day is a military holiday celebrated on March 18, in commemoration of the founding of the Artillery School in 1850.
The ceremony was attended by the Rector of the University of Defence, Brigadier General PhD Boban Đorović, Acting Assistant Minister of Defence for Human Resources Siniša Radović, Assistant Minister of Defence for Material Resources Dr Nenad Miloradović, State Secretary of the Ministry of Education PhD Ivica Radović, representatives of the organizational units of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Army, the academic community, the Serbian Orthodox Church, members of the Military Academy, the Military Gymnasium and the Vocational High School "1300 Corporals".
The head of the Military Academy, Colonel Blagojević, addressed those present and congratulated all the members of the Military Academy and the officers of the Serbian Army on Military Academy Day, and thanked the guests for their support in the work and for honoring the Military Academy with their presence.
The ceremony was an opportunity to present recognitions and awards to the best department, the best teacher, scientific worker, associate and skills teacher at the Military Academy, teachers of the Military Gymnasium and Vocational Military High School, cadets and students.
The cultural and artistic program of the ceremonial academy was dedicated to the 173rd anniversary of the Military Academy and the 110th anniversary of the end of the Balkan Wars. Cadets of the Military Academy and students of the Military Gymnasium and Secondary Vocational Military School "1300 Corporals" performed scenes from the "Memoirs" of General Svetomir Đukić and the discussion "On the Remodeling of the Military Academy" by Colonel Jovan Petrović, as well as verses by Vladislav Petković Dis and melodies of military songs.
