VISIT TO LOCATIONS WITH POTENTIONAL CONTRACTORS FOR TECHNICAL RECONNAISSANCE PROJECTS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BUJANOVAC

On Thursday , June 22, 2023, at territory of the municipality of Bujanovac, Mine Action Center of the Republic of Serbia organized a tour of two locations for potential contractors on the Projects technical reconnaissance on areas suspected of being contaminated by mines.

The area of the location called "Đorđevac-1" is 122,200 m2, while the location "Đorđevac-2" covers 122,600 m2.

Funds for the implementation of the project were provided by the International Foundation for Strengthening Human Security (ITF) by the Government of the Republic of Serbia, the USA and the Republic of Korea.

Potential contractors had the opportunity to get acquainted with the specificities and complexities of these projects in the field in order to adequately examine the project tasks and develop bids for conducting demining and cluster munitions clearance/technical survey operations at these locations.

VISIT TO LOCATIONS WITH POTENTIONAL CONTRACTORS FOR TECHNICAL RECONNAISSANCE PROJECTS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BUJANOVAC

The tender procedures for the selection of contractors for the implementation of these projects, organized by ITF and with the participation of representatives of the embassies of the donor countries and SMAC, will be completed in the following period.

The Mine Action Centre will introduce the selected contractors to the work, monitor the implementation and control the works and finally issue a certificate in accordance with the Center's projects, according to the International Mine Action Standards (IMAS) and the contractor's standard operating procedures (SOP).

The realization of the projects in question will remove the danger that mines pose to the local population and the environment, and at the same time, safe and optimal land use will be enabled.
