Meeting in Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Policy Regarding Mine Victim Assistance
Оn March 30, 2023, in the premises of the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Policy, a meeting was held regarding the intensification of the initiated cooperation on mine victim assistance between SMAC, this Ministry and ITF Enhancing Human Security from Slovenia.
Among the participants were Mr Bojan Glamočlija, SMAC director, Mr Mile Karanović, State Secretary, Mrs Tatjana Milenković, Assistant Minister - Sector for pension and disability insurance and veterans' and disability protection, Mrs Milica Đurić, Head of Department, Mrs Jovanka Simić, Senior Advisor, as well as Mr Aleksandar Gagić, who underwent rehabilitation at the University Rehabilitation Institute Soča, Slovenia, within the joint project of SMAC and this Ministry.ITF Enhancing Human Security from Slovenia, through which the funds from the Republic of Korea for the implementation of this project were provided, was represented by ITF Regional Office Director, Mr Gregor Sančanin.
It was concluded that excellent results were achieved on the joint project, which was confirmed by Mr Gagić, who praised the approach and overall organization аt URI Soča.
Further steps and enhancing of cooperation in this area were discussed aimed at establishing continuous support to victims.
