COMPLETION OF EXPLOSIVE ORDNANCE DISPOSAL - LEVEL 1 TRAINING (EOD - LEVEL 1) ARRANGED BY SERBIAN MINE ACTION CENTRE
Explosive ordnance disposal - Level 1 (EOD Level 1) trainees were awarded internationally recognized certificates confirming successful training course.
The certificates were handed over in the expanded business capacities, i.e. teaching premises with a ground and site for training of pyrotechnicians in Grocka, within the Mine Action Centre.
In order to strengthen human resources in the field of humanitarian demining in the Republic of Serbia, but also to standardize the level of competencies in accordance with International Mine Action Standards (IMAS), Serbian Mine Action Centre, supported by the French Embassy in Belgrade, organized this training, which was conducted, for the first time in the Republic of Serbia, entirely in accordance with IMAS.
The lecturers were eminent instructors from French company "EOD-EX", according to whose plan and program the training was conducted on a ground and site of the Mine Action Centre in Grocka, in the period from the 21st September to the 10th October, 2020.
Among the trainees was a member of the Sector for Emergency Management of the Ministry of Interior of Serbia, as well as representatives of Serbian demining companies and companies from the region.
Skills have been acquired by individual and team tasks, through theoretical and practical lectures.
In cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, in the last week of the training, explosives demolition of unexploded ordnance (UXO) was carried out in Training Center "Mitrovo polje".
