Meeting at the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Ljubljana

Оn 12 March 2020, in the premises of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Ljubljana, delegation of Serbian Mine Action Centre, consisted of Director, Mr Bojan Glamočlija, Assistant Director, Ms. Jelena Krstić and Independent Advisor for Planning, International Cooperation and European Integrations, Ms Sladjana Košutić met with First Counselor – Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia, Ms Mirjana Jeremić

SMAC Director, Mr Glamočlija presented the current situation regarding land and underwater explosive remnants of war related problem in the Republic of Serbia. He pointed out the needs and priorities of our country in all other mine action segments.

He referred to the previous cooperation with ITF Enhancing Human Security and informed that the meeting with ITF Director, Mr Tomaž Lovrenčič, which was supposed to take place on 12 March 2020, at ITF Headquarters, regarding the funding of SMAC projects in 2020, had been postponed until further notice, at the initiative of ITF, due to coronavirus concerns.

The Embassy of the Republic of Serbia, in the forthcoming period, will initiate a meeting with ITF, at which it will convey all recommendations and conclusions from the meeting held on 12 March 2020 at our Embassy.
