Meeting with representatives of French Embassy
On 2 December 2019, Director of the Mine Action Center, Mr. Bojan Glamočlija, and Planning and International Cooperation Advisor, Ms.Slađana Košutić, met with representatives of French Embassy in Belgrade - Mr. Philippe Dasonville, Attaché for the Interior Security, and Mr. Pascal Seurre, Adviser on Small Arms and Light Weapons of the French Center of Expertise on Security in South-Eastern Europe.
The occasion for the meeting was an overview of the participation of the delegation of the Mine Action Center at the exhibition "Milipol" in Paris, 18-21 November 2019, where, with the support of Civipol - Ministry of Internal Affairs of France, contacts have been established with French humanitarian demining companies "Eodex" and "Geomines", among others.
The topics of discussion were also related to the current situation regarding mines, cluster munitions, air bombs and other unexploded ordnance in the territory of the Republic of Serbia, as well as the needs and priorities of our country in all other segments of mine action.
Embassy representatives expressed their readiness to consider the possibilities of assisting the Republic of Serbia in the field of mine action, both in terms of training, through participation of French experts who have many years of international experience and expertise, and in terms of enagement of French companies and use of European Union funds with the participation of France in the implementation of projects in the field of mine action in our country.
