Final Quality Control on a UXO Risk Reduction Project
Оn 22 October 2019, Mine Action Center performed final quality control of the works conducted in accordance with Demining and Technical Survey Project (reducing the risk of unexploded ordnance) in the areas of construction of routes of the main gas pipeline from the border with Bulgaria (vicinity of Zaječar) to border with Hungary (vicinity of Horgoš), Section 5.
The control established that there are no ERWs or anomalies indicating the existence of an object of the mass within the limits of the critical error determined by the Project.
The implementation of humanitarian demining operations on all 5 sections of the above mentioned project created conditions for safe engineering-geological and geotechnical exploration of land and construction works on the main gas pipeline route from the border with Bulgaria (near Zajecar) to the border with Hungary (near Horgoš),so called Turkish Stream pipeline.
