Maximum safety measures for residents of Stevan Sinđelić settlement – temporary change of traffic regime and setting up of a safety barrier till 21 October 2019, from 8 am to 4 pm

Due to a close proximity of the site where cluster munitions and other UXO clearance operations are being carried out, according to a project developed by the Serbian Mine Action Center, contractor Millennium Team was instructed to set up a safety barrier along the work site boundary towards residential buildings in Stevan Sindjelić settlement.

Furthermore, at the request of the Serbian Mine Action Center, the City Administration of the City of Niš - the Secretariat for Utilities, Energy and Transport of the City of Niš issued a decision on setting up of temporary traffic signalization for the change of traffic regime on the access road in the Stevan Sinđelić settlement, till 21 October 2019, from 8 am to 4 pm.

During the temporary change of traffic regime, only emergency vehicles and vehicles under escort are allowed to move past the established regime, with the permission of authorities for immediate traffic control.

The Serbian Mine Action Center appeals to residents of the Stevan Sinđelić settlement and to all other citizens to obey the prescribed safety measures, in that way protecting their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
