SMAC PARTICIPATION AT GICHD INNOVATION CONFERENCE 2023
Geneva International Center for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD) organized the Innovation Conference 2023, in the period from November 14 to 16, 2023, in Geneva, which was attended by SMAC representatives.
The Innovatiion Conference brought together experts in the field of mine action, including national demining centers, the UN, international organizations, operators, manufacturers of demining equipment, as well as representatives of academia and reserach institutions, and other experts to discuss and exchange ideas and experiences that promote the effective use of innovations and technologies in mine action.
This year, for the first time, SMAC, together with representatives of the Academy of Technical-Educational Vocational Studies Niš, participated at the Conference as an exhibitor and presented "Integrated Navigation System for Inspection of Minefield", which is based on combined robotics, unmanned aerial vehicles, an integrated sensor system, which can contribute to organizations to improve the efficiency of their operations while minimizing the risk to personnel.
It was an excellent opportunity for the Republic of Serbia to promote networking and results of cooperation between mine action subjects and the academia, and we are grateful to GICHD and all participants for successful implementation of such an important event.
