Meeting with representatives of US Embassy
On the 08th October 2019, at the premises of the Mine Action Center of the Republic of Serbia, Director - Mr Bojan Glamočlija, met with the representatives of the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade - Mr John J. Rutherford, Ms Mila Antonić and Mr Robert T. Hamilton.
The topics for discussion included the current situation regarding landmines, cluster munitions, air bombs and other unexploded ordnance in the territory of the Republic of Serbia, as well as the implemenation of the upcoming U.S. funded cluster munitions clearance projects in Niš, Sjenica, and Kopaonik Mount.
Needs and priorities of our countries in all other segments of mine action were also discussed.
The U.S. Embassy representatives conveyed the U.S. willingness to financially support implementation of Mine Action Centre projects in the forthcoming period.
