SMAC PARTICIPATION IN IMSMA CORE ADMINISTRATOR TRAINING COURSE
In the period from 29 May 2023 until 9 June 2023, SMAC representatives participated in Mine Action Information Management System Administrator (IMSMA Core Administrator) training course, which was held in Spietz, Swiss Confederation, within the framework of the Partnership for Peace Work Program, implemented by the Swiss Government, through the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport (DDPS) and the Geneva International Center for Humanitarian Demining.
The lecturers were eminent instructors from the Geneva International Center for Humanitarian Demining.
The aim of the training was to increase the overall awareness of the importance of the information system, to acquire knowledge on information management principles and concepts, to learn how to administer and use the IMSMA core and configure Configure IMSMA Core according to the programme needs and in coordination with operations and programme management.
In addition to SMAC representatives, representatives of national mine action authorities from 9 countries attended this course.
