OPPORTUNITY FOR NEW KNOWLEDGE FOR STUDENTS OF THE FACULTY OF SECURITY STUDIES
OStudents of the final year of the Faculty of Security Studies from the Department of Civil Protection and the Department of Defense completed their professional practice in the Mine Action Centre of the Republic of Serbia in the month of May.
This was an opportunity for them to familiarize themselves with the competences of the Mine Action Centre of the Republic of Serbia, the mine overview and the work of protection against unexploded ordnance on the territory of the Republic of Serbia.
In addition, students got familiar with domestic legal regulations as well as with international mine action standards and international conventions in this field. Professional practice was also carried out in the training office of the Mine Action Centre, where representatives of the Centre showed them the protective equipment and demonstrated the use of detectors and other tools used in UXO removal.
In the coming period, the Mine Action Centre of the Republic of Serbia will continue to, through these activities and joint cooperation with the Faculty of Security Studies, provide opportunities and support for the improvement of knowledge and skills to new, young students in order to gain a lot of significant experience in the study process.
