SURVEY OF THE MINE ACTION CENTRE ON THE TOP OF SMRDLJUČ MOUNTAIN ČEMERNO
On Tuesday, May 23, 2023, representatives of the Mine Action Centre of the Republic of Serbia, at the invitation of the President of the City Committee for the Coordination of Activities on the Construction of a Soldier's Memorial Chapel on Mountain Čemerno, conducted a non-technical survey of the location of the future access road on which the City of Kraljevo will raise a Soldier's Memorial Chapel, dedicated to Serbian soldiers who died during the First World War.
On that occasion, representatives of the Center held a meeting with the chairman of the City Committee for the Coordination of Activities of the City of Kraljevo, Radoje Tomašević, and the retired artillery major and author of the edition "Kraljevo in the Great War", Rade Vukosavljević, about the planned dynamics and the planned start of work on the project of building a military memorial chapel.
Non-technical Survey contributes to risk assessment of ERW hazards and forms a prerequisite for later evidence-based decision-making on ERW hazards.
