COMMENCEMENT OF WORKS IN ACCORDANCE WITH “ISTOČNI MOJSTIR-PONOR 1” PROJECT IN TUTIN
11th May 2023 saw the commencement of the implementation of technical survey project for Istočni Mojstir – Ponor 1 site in the Municipality of Tutin, area 131.900 sqm, contaminated with cluster munitions.
After the representatives of the Serbian Mine Action Centre checked the documentation and equipment that will be used, contractor NGO STOP Mines, Pale, Republic of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and company "Trotil " Ltd., Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, hired by the ITF and donor as a monitoring organization, have been introduced into the works.
Funds for the implementation of the project have been provided, through ITF Enhancing Human Security, by the U.S donation.
Technical survey is aimed at the reduction of the area established by a general survey and at determining the area to be cleared.
