Visit of Golden West Humanitarian Foundation Representatives
On 8th May 2023, in the premises of the Serbian Mine Action Centre, SMAC Director, Mr Bojan Glamočlija, met with the representatives of the Golden West Humanitarian Foundation.
The Golden West Humanitarian Foundation is a United States based non – profit charity organization dedicated to the development of innovative technologies, training and techniques that are used to enhance the global effectiveness of the humanitarian mine action community.
At the meeting, SMAC Director informed the guests about the current situation regarding the explosive remnants of war related problem in the territory of the Republic of Serbia, as well as the needs and challenges of our country in the field of mine action. Furthermore, possible directions of cooperation between the two organizations in the field of mine action were discussed.
On this occasion, representatives of the Golden West Humanitarian Foundation visited the classroom of the Мine Action Centre, with a training ground for deminers in Grocka, where several international trainings in the field of mine action were held in the previous period.
