The goal of the meeting was to exchange information on Serbia's progress in implementing clearance obligations in accordance with Article 5, with special reference to the project of non-technical survey of contaminated areas that were discovered after fires in August 2019 and August 2021, which aims to assess the remaining contaminated area and the development of an adequate work plan for demining of that area.

They also discussed the importance of Serbia's reporting on relevant actions from the Oslo Action Plan, both regarding Article 5, as well as regarding mine victims assistance, when submitting the annual Article 7 Transparency Report.
