EXPLOSIVE REMNANTS OF WAR FOUND AT THE NATIONAL STADIUM PROJECT
On March 20, 2023, representatives of the Mine Action Centre, as part of monitoring the implementation of the Project for the clearance of explosive remnants of war at the site for the construction of line infrastructure within the construction of the National Football Stadium, municipality of Surčin, Belgrade number 0286/22, performed quality control of the works in accordance with phase I of this project.
During quality control, no critical errors determined by this project were found.
During the current implementation of the ERW clearance project, on which the contractor "Millennium Team" ltd. was engaged, 3 hand grenades and 2 artillery shells 85 mm and 75 mm, were found at a depth of about 40 cm.
The disposal of the found ERW, which was carried out by the members of the Department for Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Interior of Serbia, created the conditions for the safe continuation of work on the project.
