On the 1st October 2019, as a follow up of the implementation of the Project for Clearance of Cluster Munitions and Other Unexploded Ordnance from the Stevan Sinđelić Site, No. 216/19, Crveni Krst Municipality, City of Niš, area 12,805 m2, representatives of the Serbian Mine Action Center, in the presence of representatives of the Police Directorate and the Sector for Emergency Management of the Ministry of Interior, visited the project site.

Given that the site is located close to residential buildings, Contractor - Millennium Team, Belgrade, has been instructed to undertake additional security measures, in accordance with the intensity of the works, and in order to create conditions for maximum safety for both deminers and residents of nearby buildings.

Furthermore, on the 1st October 2019, demolition of UXO found so far on this project was carried out: 4 pieces of 76mm artillery shells and a 105 mm armor piercing artillery shell were destroyed.

Demolition was carried out by members of the Sector for Emergency Management of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia.
