PARTICIPATION OF SMAC AT REGIONAL WORKSHOP "ASSESSMENT OF NEEDS AND PLANNING OF IMPROVEMENT OF QUALITY MANAGEMENT CAPACITIES OF NATIONAL/STATE MINE ACTION AUTHORITIES" IN SARAJEVO
In the period from December 13 to 14, 2022, in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Serbian Mine Action Centre participated at the regional workshop, organized by the Norwegian People’s Aid, entitled "Assessment of needs and planning to improve the quality management capacities of national/state mine action authorities".
The workshop, which was attended by 38 participants, was aimed at gathering information from relevant stakeholders, including the organization, experiences and needs of mine action centers, as well as state institutions and organizations involved in mine action from Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the implementation of quality management system.
In addition to the Serbian Mine Action Centre, the delegation of the Republic of Serbia consisted of the representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia – Police Directorate, Sector for Emergency Management, and Gendarmerie.
Bosnia and Herzegovina was represented by the Bosnia and Herzegovina Mine Action Centre, the Federal Administration of Civil Protection of the Republic of Srpska and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while Montenegro was represented by the Ministry of Internal Affairs - Directorate for Protection and Rescue.
The workshop was attended by the representatives of the Embassy of Switzerland in Sarajevo, EUFOR, as well as the NPA Global Training Center for Detection Dogs.
At the workshop, the project "Improving the quality management system of national authorities and mine action centers in the Western Balkans”, which Norwegian People's Aid is implementing with the financial support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation in the period from 2022-2023, was presented.
