SMAC Participation in Celebrating 20 Year Anniversary of BHMAC
On December 7, 2022, in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, a ceremony was held to mark the 20-year anniversary of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Mine Action Center (BHMAC).
Among the guests were representatives of mine action centers from the region, representatives of donors, representatives of international humanitarian organizations, representatives of demining companies and organizations related to demining and detection of mines and explosive remnants of war (ERW).
BHMAC Director, Mr Saša Obradović, presented an appreciation certificate to the Mine Action Centre of the Republic of Serbia (SMAC) in recognition of support to mine action efforts in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On behalf of the SMAC, the appreciation certificate was accepted by director Mr Bojan Glamočlija.
Bearing in mind the long-standing successful cooperation between the SMAC and the BHMAC, the two organizations expressed their desire to further improve relations that will contribute to a more effective and faster solution to problems related to mine action, both in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, thereby improving regional cooperation.
We take this opportunity to once again congratulate our colleagues from the BHMAC and wish them lots of success in further mine action efforts until the complete solution of the problems related to mines and ERW.
