VA Experts Meeting 2022 held on margins of 20th MSP in Geneva
On the margins of the 20th Meeting of the States Parties to the Ottawa Convention, in the period from November 23-24, 2022, VA experts meeting was held.
The purpose of the meeting was to enhance understandings of the States Parties and Non-States Parties, interested organizations and members of civil society on various aspects of rehabilitation and challenges, gaps and shortcomings faced in delivering quality rehabilitation services in an efficient, affordable and sustainable manner.
The delegation of the Republic of Serbia consisted of representatives of the Serbian Mine Action Centre and the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs.
The representative of the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs submitted a report on the efforts and challenges that the Republic of Serbia undertakes when it comes to helping mine victims and presented the project to help mine victims - rehabilitation and medical care, which this Ministry is implementing in cooperation with SMAC, and the financial support of donors through ITF.
