SMAC PARTICIPATION AT THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON „MINE ACTION: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES“, BAKU, AZERBAIJAN
At the invitation of the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA), SMAC attended the International Conference on „Mine Action: Challenges and Opportunities, which took place in the period 16-18 November, in Baku, Azerbaijan, under the auspices of the Government of Azerbaijan.
The Conference was attended by mine action experts from 30 countries worldwide, donors, international humanitarian organizations, mine action authorities, as well as experts from related areas.
The Conference focused on challenges and opportunities in mine action, integrated approach in the implementation of innovative technology, land release methodologies, mine action in difficult terrain and inappropriate conditions.
In addition to the presentation by ANAMA, organizations like SWEDEC, IMPROTEX, IMFAD had an opportunity to present themselves, and within the exhibition of mine action manufacturers, companies like APOPO, FOERSTER, FAE, SAFE LANE GLOBAL, еtc.
