Commencement of ERW Risk Reduction Project on the Site Designated for the Reconstruction and Modernization of the Niš – Brestovac Railway Section
The implementation of ERW Risk Reduction Project on the Site Designated for the Reconstruction and Modernization of the Niš – Brestovac Railway Section, No. 0265/21, which was developed by the Serbian Mine Action Centre based on the request of an investor -TRACE GROUP HOLD PLC – Belgrade Branch, began on the 3rd of October, 2022, with the introduction of contractor Millennium Team, Belgrade, into works.
The area to be cleared is located in the territory of the municipality of City of Niš, up to the village of Brestovac, municipality of Leskovac.
Upon completion of ERW risk reduction works, the danger posed by ERW to people and the environment will be eliminated.
In addition, it will contribute to increasing the safety of construction workers and creating opportunities for the safe use of the site for the reconstruction and modernization of the Niš - Brestovac railway section.
