SMAC participation in the Regional Quality Management Course for the Balkans in Rome
In the period from September 13 to 20, 2022, in Rome, organized by the Geneva International Center for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD), the Regional Course on Quality Management in Mine Action was held for representatives of the Balkan countries.
In addition to representatives of SMAC, other participants from Serbia included representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as the company JUGOIMPORT SDPR - PMC Engineering ltd.
The lecturers were eminent instructors from the GICHD.
Skills on how to implement key elements of quality management, such as quality planning and monitoring as part of quality assurance and quality control, were acquired by the participants through individual and team tasks, through theoretical and practical training.
After successfully passing the test, participants were awarded with internationally recognized certificates.
Practical elements were carried out at the training ground of the C-IED Centre of Excellence in Rome.
As part of the training, a study visit of the SMAC Director and colleagues to the Italian Center of Excellence in Rome was also carried out.
On that occasion, the deputy commander presented the work possibilities of this Center with special reference to the part related to demining and improvised explosive devices.
