Introduction into works on Stevan Sinđelić project in Niš
Оn 18 September 2019, with the introduction of the contractor into works, commenced the implemenation of the Project for Clearance of Cluster Munitions and Other Unexploded Ordnance from the Stevan Sinđelić Site, No. 216/19, Crveni Krst Municipality, City of Niš, totalling 12,805 m2.
The Project was developed by the Mine Action Centre of the Republic of Serbia, which monitors the implementation and performs quality control over the works, while Millennium Team from Belgrade, as a contractor and Alfa Razminiranje from Niš, as a subcontractor, perform clearance works.
This Project has been financed by the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Serbia, within the implementation of the Project of Construction of Apartments for Members of Security Forces in Niš.
Clearance of cluster munitions and other UXO from this site will eliminate the danger that these devices pose to workers performing construction and earthworks related to the construction of residential buildings, as well as to future residents of these residential buildings.
