Visit to Croatian Mine Action Centre
Today, on 18 September 2019, Director of the Mine Action Center of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Bojan Glamočlija, visited Croatian Mine Action Center of the Directorate of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, where he was welcomed by Professor Nikša Bogdanić, Head of the Department, and Mrs Katarina Markt, CROMAC Centre for Testing, Development and Training.
During the visit to CROMAC premises, the Director of our Center was informed about CROMAC work, ongoing projects, as well as the application of new technologies in solving mine action problems.
On this occasion, the manner of work of CROMAC Scan Center, which serves for fast and high-quality digital recording of minefield records and geographical maps, was demonstrated in particular.
Furthermore, the functioning of the "MIS" portal - a mine information system adapted to CROMAC activities implemented in the mine action system, which, among other things, shows mine suspected areas in the Republic of Croatia, was also presented.
The participants discussed the continuation and improvement of cooperation on joint projects for the sake of a secure regional and wider environment.
