Visit to NPA Global Training Center for Mine and Explosive Detection Dogs
At the invitation of Country Director, Bosnia and Herzegovina Norwegian People’s Aid, Mr Charles Frisby, оn June 15, 2022, Serbian Mine Action Centre Director, Mr Bojan Glamočlija and Assistant Director, Ms Jelena Krstić, visited NPA Global Training Center for Mine and Explosive Detection Dogs.
In addition to the representatives of the Serbian Mine Action Center, representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia also took part in the visit.
Given the long and successful tradition of this center located near Sarajevo, in the Vogošća settlement Blagovac, in the facilities used by Norwegian People's Aid, and expressed willingness by the host to cooperate, share experiences and provide support to our mine action authorities, this was a great opportunity to consider possible directions of cooperation in order to strengthen the capacity of our institutions when it comes to the use of mine and explosive detection dogs in the demining process.
