Commencement of UXO Clearance Project for Sloboda Čačak 5 site
Implementaion of UXO Clearance Project for Sloboda Čačak 5 site, which was developed by SMAC at the request of Joint Stock Company Sloboda Čačak, began on June 1, 2022, with the introduction of contractor Millennium Team ltd., Belgrade, into works.
Area to be cleared is located in the territory of the City of Čačak, outside the perimeter of Sloboda Company Čačak, where in June last year, due to a fire and explosion, UXOs were scattered inside and outside the factory.
In the previous period, also at the request of Joint Stock Company Sloboda Čačak, which is the investor of the works, 4 UXO clearance projects have been developed for the sites where UXOs were scattered after the explosion and fire.
By this Joint Stock Company Sloboda Čačak demonstrates that it is a socially responsible company which recognizes that upon UXOs being cleared from these areas, the danger they pose to people and the environment will be removed, and it will contribute to increasing of, above all, safety of residents and creating opportunities for safe use of agricultural land.
