SMAC DIRECTOR MET WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF US EMBASSY AND ITF
Оn the 4th of March 2022, SMAC Director, Mr Bojan Glamočlija, met with Political Counsellor at the U.S. Embassy, Mr John Rutherford and representative of ITF Enhancing Human Security, Mr Gregor Sančanin, in order to analyse previous assistance and cooperation with the U.S. and the ITF and to discuss future directions of support in the field of humanitarian demining and mine action in Serbia.
Ever since the foundation of the SMAC, the U.S. Government has been one of the most significant donors in the field of humanitarian demining in Serbia, and a reliable partner, together with the ITF, through which the U.S. provide their donations.
The SMAC and the Republic of Serbia would like to express their huge gratitude to the U.S. and the ITF for their support, given that the removal of explosive remnants of war, as well as the overall mine action contribute to, above all, creating conditions for safe life and development.
