Visit of NPA representatives
At 15. July 2021. the Serbian Mine Action Center (SMAC) was visited by representatives of the Norwegian people`s aid (NPA), Kristina Đurić, Acting Country Director Bosnia and Herzegovina Mine Action and Disarmament Department, Darvin Lisica, Chief Technical Advisor, Charles Frisby, Special Advisor и Nick Bray, Chief Technical Advisor for Arms Management Destruction in order to get familiarized with the current situation related to mine action standards and challenges in the Republic of Serbia and undertake steps for possible future cooperation.
Representatives of the NPA had the opportunity to get acquainted also with the problem related to remaining mines and ERW in the territory of the Republic of Serbia, as well as residual contamination and long-term risk management.
During their stay, they visited the expanded business facilities, namely teaching premises with a training ground and site for pyrotechnicians within the SMAC.
