Evaluation Commission for Selection of Contractors for Demining Clearance Project held
On the 8th June 2021, in the premises of the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Belgrade, in the arrangement of the Ljubljana based ITF Enhancing Human Security (ITF), and with the participation of a representative of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and a representative the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade as donor countries and representatives of Serbian Mine Action Center (SMAC), evaluation commission for the selection of contractors for demining project in the Bujanovac Municipality was held.
The project totaling 294.230 sqm has been developed by SMAC, which will govern the implementation and conduct quality control of the works.
Funds for the implementation of this project, allocated by the Republic of Serbia, have been matched, through ITF, by donations from the Government of the Republic of Korea and the U.S. Government.
We take this opportunity to thank the Government of the Republic of Serbia, the Government of the Republic of Korea, the US Government and ITF for providing funds for the implementation of this project, which will create conditions for increasing the security of local people, safe use of blocked resources, as well as contribute to Serbia’s fulfilling of obligations undertaken by the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention.
