SMAC Met with Mine Action Actors in Serbia
On December 16, 2022, in Belgrade, the Serbian Mine Action Centre organized a working meeting with mine action actors in the Republic of Serbia - representatives of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces - Directorate for Operational Affairs (J-3), the Military Academy of the University of Defense in Belgrade, the Sector for Emergency Management, the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Policy, the Academy of Technical-Educational Vocational Studies in Niš, as well as demining companies that were involved in demining projects in the Republic of Serbia in the previous period.
Considering the end of the calendar year, the meeting was an excellent opportunity to analyze the demining results for the last three years, namely the period 2020-2022 and determine work priorities in the forthcoming period.
On that occasion, for exceptional cooperation and enhancement of mine action in the Republic of Serbia, the SMAC presented certificates of appreciation to the Sector for Emergency Management, the General Staff of the Serbian Army - Directorate for Operational Affairs (J-3), , as well as the Military Academy of the University of Defense in Belgrade.
