QUALITY CONTROL ON THE PROJECT FOR CLEARING CLUSTER MUNITION FROM "BOROVAC 5" SITE, MUNICIPALITY OF BUJANOVAC
On November 17, 2022, Mine Action Centre, as part of monitoring the implementation of the Project for demining - clearing of cluster munitions from "Borovac - 5" site, number 0256/21, municipality of Bujanovac, performed a quality control of the works performed on part of the cleared area.
During the quality control of the cleared area, no critical errors defined by the project were found.
During the clearing activities of cluster munitions carried out so far, the contractor found 9 pieces of BLU 97 cluster munition stabilizer and 1 piece of UXO - mortar mine 82mm.
We remind, that after clearing this location, the primary danger of cluster munitions for the local population will be eliminated, and at the same time, the safe and optimal use of land and pastures will be enabled.
