COMMENCEMENT OF ERW RISK REDUCTION PROJECT FOR BELGRADE – VALJEVO GAS PIPELINE SECTION
The implementation of the ERW Risk Reduction Project for the Belgrade - Valjevo Gas Pipeline Section, which was developed by the Serbian Mine Action Centre based on the request of Public Enterprise “SRBIJAGAS”, Novi Sad, began on September 12, 2022, with the introduction of contractor Millennium Team ltd., Belgrade, into works.
Тhe project comprises the areas in the territory of the municipalities of Čukarica, Barajevo, Obrenovac, Ub, Lajkovac, Mionica, Valjevo.
Upon completing ERW risk reduction operations on these areas, it will be established whether the project area is safe for further use and without confirmed ERW risk and can be handed over for the construction of the gas pipeline on the Belgrade - Valjevo section.
